Invisalign®

Invisalign® clear aligners prove that effective orthodontic treatment doesn’t have to be difficult. These ingenious appliances have helped millions straighten their teeth and achieve better-looking smiles, and they can help you too.

Invisalign® Aligners

Invisalign® aligners are an effective and discreet orthodontic treatment option that is worn comfortably over your teeth to continuously adjust alignment and spacing.

Invisalign® aligners are custom-made using models of both your current teeth and the end result you hope to achieve. We use the iTero Digital Scanner to make the process of making models even easier.

Crafted specifically for your smile, Invisalign® aligners are made using precise models of your current teeth and your desired outcome. Every two weeks, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners, each one subtly shifting your teeth closer to their ideal positions. This process typically takes between 20 and 40 weeks, though the journey may be slightly longer for complex cases.

You remove the Invisalign® aligners for eating, drinking and cleaning only. At first, they will feel very tight, but they will begin to loosen and feel more comfortable after a few days.

We offer Invisalign® at all three of our locations—two in Sioux City, IA (Lakeport St. and Hamilton St.), and one in Elk Point, SD. Schedule your appointment online using the link below or visit our contact page for information on the location nearest you.

  • Invisalign® vs. braces—what's the difference?

There are many differences between Invisalign® and braces, we’ve listed some of the largest ones here. Ultimately, the decision is up to you, but the introduction of Invisalign® to the market introduced a more efficient, less painful way to straighten teeth.

    • Materials. Invisalign® uses clear transparent aligners, while braces use wires and brackets.
    • Removability. Invisalign® aligners can be removed by the user at any time, while braces can only be removed by a professional.
    • Food Restrictions. With Invisalign®, your usual food and oral care routine prevails. Braces come with restrictions on certain foods and require special cleaning tools and techniques.
    • Injury Risks. Invisalign® presents minimal risk of cuts or irritation. Braces, with their metal components, can potentially cause minor injuries if you’re not careful.
    • Visibility. Invisalign® keeps your treatment practically invisible, boosting your confidence throughout the process.
  • How does the Invisalign® process work?

To begin, we will take photographs of your teeth and face, scans of your teeth with the iTero Digital Scanner and x-rays. Those records are sent to Invisalign with detailed instructions on how we want the final result to appear. Invisalign will scan the impressions to create a 3D model of the teeth and work with your dentist to get the mold to its exact proportions. Once final, the trays are made and mailed to your dentist office. You will wear a set of trays for two weeks at a time for approximately 2 years, or the length of time determined by your dentist.

  • Who can use Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is a great option for teens and adults with mild to moderate orthodontic needs, such as crooked or misaligned teeth, noticeable spacing, or even minor bite issues. However, it’s not suitable for more complex cases requiring extensive orthodontic treatment.

  • How much does Invisalign® cost?

We aim to provide high-quality dental care that’s affordable for our patients in Sioux City, IA and Elk Point, SD. Invisalign® cost varies based on the length of treatment. Out of pocket cost for any procedure depends on your insurance coverage at the time of the procedure.

    • Orthodontics (D8090): $2,500-$4,995

Certain PPO plans may cover up to 50%
